We strongly believe in protecting our customers private information. We only use the information you provide in ways that we have informed you about. This document explains which information is stored and how it is used. It should be read in conjunction with the our terms of use.

Information that we collect and store


We only collect, store or use information that we consider necessary for the purpose of providing the best service possible to all of our members.

Service Buyers who wish to find a Service Provider must register and provide us with their title, first name, last name, email address, phone number and a secure password.

We ask Service Providers for their title, first name, last name, email address, a secure password with further information including their business name, address, phone number, specific skills, website URL, working preferences, payment terms and sample photographs of their work.

We also hold all information related to specific job requirements (e.g. job type, job date, job duration, job budget, event postcode), including the job description, skills required, start date, any quotes provided and all updates, communications between the Service Buyers and the Service Providers and ratings in connection with the Work. We store the internet facing IP address of your device or internet connection at the time of the initial registration for both Service Providers and Service Buyers.

We store all this information on our secure dedicated servers in the UK.

We do not transfer personal data from the European Economic Area (EEA) or the European Union (EU) to a country outside the EEA or the EU except when you access the Services from outside the EEA or the EU.

For quality control and training purposes, we may monitor or record your communication with our customer service team.

We don't store any credit card information of our customers in our database. Credit card information is securely handled by Stripe for payment transaction process.

How we use this information


We check the accuracy of the information that you provide on registration and remind you of your obligations to provide accurate information to us as set out in our Terms of Use. We may use the contact information you provide to contact you via email, post or telephone regarding your registration, or any other matter that we consider relevant to your use of our Service.

We forward anonymous details of a Job request to suitable Service Providers within the region and trade category stated on the job advert. Any ratings and comments from Members in relation to jobs in the past are available for all Members to see at any stage in the Work process.

We may use any information we collect about you, including any information we may have obtained from your use of the Service, to resolve disputes, provide customer support, troubleshoot problems and enforce our Terms of Use and policies. We may look across multiple users to identify problems or resolve disputes.

We may disclose your personal data if we are compelled to do so by law, or in response to a valid, legally compliant request by a law enforcement or governmental authority. We may also disclose aggregated demographic and profile data (in which neither you nor any other individual is identified) to our commercial and marketing partners.

Security measures


To prevent unauthorised access, maintain accuracy of our records and to ensure proper use and protection of Your Information, we have put appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures in place.

We encrypt all passwords and other sensitive information. We don't store any credit card information of our customers in our database. Credit card information is securely handled by Stripe for payment transaction process. Our server is protected by a dedicated firewall and we operate strict internal policies with regard to accessing personal information. However, we cannot guarantee the security of any information or data which is transmitted over public or third party networks. Please note: you must ensure that your password remains secret.

Changing your Business and Personal Information


If you wish to change the information we hold about yourself or your business, please do this via the "Login" link by logging in with your secure password and following the relevant navigation once logged in.

Retention of your information


We will retain your personal information only as long as is necessary for the purposes to which you consent under this Privacy Policy, after which we will delete it from our systems.

As such, we delete all personal data, job details, quotes, messages and any other data related to a Service Buyer's (Job Poster) account after 3 years of inactivity, i.e. not logging into Photographer4me account. We only maintain reviews written for Service Providers, as long as the Service Provider's account is active. We anonymise the reviews which don't reveal any personal data.

We delete all personal and business data, profile information, portfolio, quotes, messages, reviews and any other data related to a Service Provider's (Photographer) account after 5 years of inactivity, i.e. not logging into Photographer4me account.
